RIVEROAK was proud to take part in Space Day at the Capitol, meeting with legislators from across the state to advocate for Space Florida’s workforce education initiative. These conversations focused on expanding Suwannee County’s involvement in the Space Academy Program and bringing more aerospace career opportunities to our students through career and technical education. #GrowWithUs

Congratulations, Joe Bailey! Today, Joe graduated with his Florida High School Diploma from RIVEROAK Technical College! Joe is an outstanding student who stayed focused on his goal from the moment he started last semester. His dedication and efficiency allowed him to begin the Automotive Technology program in January as an IET (dual enrollment) student. We are so proud of Joe and can’t wait to see what his future holds!

RIVEROAK and members of the Suwannee County School Board recently met with the Florida Technology Council and the Florida Semiconductor Institute, followed by meetings with Senator Corey Simon’s staff and Representative Jason Shoaf. These conversations focused on workforce development and strengthening partnerships that support career and technical education.

RIVEROAK is proud to introduce our newest program: Advanced Manufacturing and Production Technology.

This 600-hour program offers hands-on training in electrical systems, automation, mechanical systems, and industrial troubleshooting using industry-aligned equipment. Students who complete this program are prepared for high-skill, high-wage careers in advanced manufacturing and industrial maintenance. Full time enrolled adults can complete this course in one semester!

Graduates can enter the workforce as skilled industrial maintenance technicians and earn up to four industry certifications while enrolled. Financial aid and scholarship opportunities are available!

RIVEROAK is proud to take part in Rural Counties Day 2026 at the Florida State Capitol! We are honored to represent our community and highlight the importance of career and technical education in Florida’s rural counties.

Thank you to Jacob Brown, Orthopedic Representative with Stryker, for visiting our Surgical Technology program this afternoon.

Mr. Brown provided an in-depth walkthrough of a total hip replacement procedure and demonstrated the proper assembly and use of orthopedic hip instruments.

We appreciate his time and expertise in helping our students gain valuable, real-world insight into the surgical field.
